New Linen Skirt

Loved sewing on linen.  It sticks to itself and doesn’t slip all over the place while being cut, pinned and stitched.  It’s not effemeral,  ethereal, or elusive.  It wrinkles, but then linen is wrinkled.  At least it is upfront about it’s shortcomings.

So gather round everyone for the next in the not-quite-weekly askirtaweek series.

I used the same McCalls pattern, 2255 that I used for the Thrice Ripped Skirt and the Eyelet Skirt with the big ruffle. It’s a simple (good for me) bias cut skirt. This time it has a big side split.  More on big splits in upcoming posts. (ha!).
