Don’t Be a Princess

If you are having a Life Meltdown, don’t’ be a princess.  Princesses pout and whine  and expect others to take care of them, eternally. You can allow yourself a month of that, and, set the timer, 5 minutes once a week.  We women like to marinate a bit. Then ,that’s all the luxuriating in whine you get.  Too much whine is unproductive, fattening and deadens the senses.

Of course it’s not fair and you have enough other things to deal with and you never thought this would happen to you……Yawn.  That is the point. It’s a catastrophe.  It’s not fair. (Didn’t our mama tell you life is not fair at birth).  Why couldn’t it happen to someone else (it did, don’t worry)?  Once your timer goes off,  you have work to do.

Set aside your victim cloak and put on something more positive. It is more productive and empowering to see yourself as  an athlete, warrior, amazon woman, than a victim.  Yea, we covered that already—it’s not fair, but you are the only one who can fix your life.  You are the only one who really knows from the inside out what it takes to move on, fix it, cut it loose, so roll up your sleeves.  You are the only one who knows  where you came from and where you want to go.  You are the only one who cares enough to do what it takes to fix it.

So, after the pout fest, ponder on where you are going and how to get there .  Then see yourself as the athlete, warrior-woman or whatever mental picture empowers. You need to see yourself that way.  It’s not arrogant and I didn’t say you are better than others, but you are the only one who can solve your life.  You are infinitely valuable.  Go get ‘em.
